2018 BIS Book Fair!
The BIS Library will host a Scholastic Book Fair on October 23 through October 31. Families, faculty, and the community are invited to attend this fun reading event that helps inspire children to become lifelong readers.
The Book Fair will be open daily from 7:30am to 4:00pm. However, this year we are featuring a special 2-night Family Event with extended shopping times for busy parents. We are offering extended hours during Parent/Teacher Conferences on Thursday, Oct.25 & Tuesday, Oct. 30 until 8:00pm.
We now can accept cash, check, or credit card.
You can also shop our Online Bookfair with all of the proceeds benefiting our library. The Online Bookfair will be available from October 10, thru October 30.
Just click HERE to be directed to our Fair.
Younger students will have previewing time on Tuesday, Oct. 23. They will get a wish list to fill out, and take home. Their teacher will tell them when their class will return to the Book Fair for purchasing.
The Book Fair offers specially priced books and educational products, including popular series, award-winning titles, new releases, adult bestsellers, and other great reads from dozens of publishers. Funds raised from the book fair puts money directly back into our library. So we hope to see you at the Book Fair!
Students are instructed during weekly library visits to understand and appreciating literature and non-fiction books. They learn the value of taking care of library materials, how to choose books wisely, and how to use technology to find credible information.
Currently, our collection houses over 12,236 fiction and non-fiction books for the students’ academic requirements and personal reading pleasure. Students are encouraged to suggest book titles for the collection.
Additionally, over 70 computers and 3 printers are available for student use. Safe searching and top educational information is provided for the students as they learn to use credible sources to find quality information in this fast changing electronic information age.

Volunteers are a very important resource for a smooth functioning library. Volunteers are needed to help us shelve books, operate the circulation computer, clean and care for books and other library material, and help students find books. Volunteers also help with the annual book fair. Contact Mrs.Davis at email@example.com if you would like to be a volunteer at your Brookville BIS/BHS Library.
