Dear Students, Parents, Staff, and Community Members,
The mission statement of Brookville Local Schools "...is to challenge, prepare and support all students to realize their full potential." We are committed to providing an exceptional educational experience. Our focus is on high academic achievement, exploration and opportunity. We provide a safe and secure environment in which our students are able to grow academically, emotionally and socially. Personalized learning is achieved through tailoring the instructional environment to address the individual needs, skills and interests of the whole child.
Such programs are possible because the district runs an effective and efficient day-to-day operational budget. We are committed to strong fiscal management practices. This is important as we continue to look at leveraging educational offerings for students in a fiscally responsible manner.
We could not offer the best possible opportunities for our students without the support of this community. We consider our business leaders, families and local residents to be our partners. From booster groups to volunteers helping in our schools along with Real World learning opportunities in conjunction with our business partners, these community relationships complement the work our exceptional teachers are doing in the classroom.

State Report Card Data
Ohio School Report Cards provide parents, caregivers, community members, educators and policymakers information about district and school performance — to celebrate successes and identify areas for improvement. The report cards establish high expectations for the education community while showing progress toward equitable outcomes for all Ohio students. Brookville Schools again received high marks on the 24-25 report card. We are very proud of our students, staff and community for their hard work and dedication.

Brookville Local Schools was proud to earn the Purple Star Designation in recognition of our commitment to supporting military-connected students and their families.
We were also excited to be included in the Purple Star Award Day Tour this afternoon! During the tour, we welcomed MIC3 State Commissioner Pete Lupiba, Tammy Puff, Director of Military and Veteran Relations, and representatives from the School Liaison Office for a special visit to our district. It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the efforts of our school community and to celebrate our commitment to military families.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this achievement possible. We are proud to be a Purple Star School!
BHS Ranked #2 in Dayton, Among Ohio’s Best
We are honored to share that Brookville High School has bee ranked #2 among Dayton Metro Area High Schools, #55 in Ohio, and #1,486 nationally by U.S. News & World Report in its 2025–26 Best High Schools Rankings.
This recognition reflects the dedication of our students, the tireless commitment of our teachers and staff, and the support of our families and community. While we are humbled by this honor, our mission remains at the heart of everything we do — to challenge, prepare, and support all students to realize their full potential. Together, we will continue to build on this tradition of excellence.
Platinum Schools of Excellence in Prevention

For the third year in a row, Brookville Local Schools received recognition for achieving the Platinum Schools of Excellence in Prevention designation for work completed in the 23-24 school year. The program rewards schools who actively work to provide prevention programs which support students' mental and academic health. The program recognizes levels of achievement beginning with Bronze, Silver and Gold, followed by the most elite, Platinum. All three school buildings achieved the Platinum award. Congratulations to our entire guidance department (Mrs. Storie, Mrs. Neely, Mrs. Spangler and Miss Duckro), teachers, support staff and administrators for working together to achieve this honor.
